NorthEast Texas Association of Rehabilitation Nurses stands with nurses and all healthcare providers

The NorthEast Texas Association of Rehabilitation Nurses stands with the nurses and the entire healthcare team at Methodist Dallas Medical Center as they grieve the loss of their two employees.  We grieve with you and send condolences to the families and coworkers of these victims. 

On average, 57 nurses are assaulted every day in the United States according to a Press Ganey analysis in 2022.  Over 5000 nurses were assaulted on the job in the 2nd quarter of 2022.  We should never be afraid to go to work and care for those who need us. 

Healthcare must do more to protect all of those who work to provide care for others.
